I had no idea where my lost super was or the names of the funds. I just new it was scattered everywhere and I should definitely have more than $3,000 in my super. Australian Super Finder found all 7 of my funds and now my balance is almost $50,000. Thank you so much for getting my super back on track. ? Leonie, Thomastown VIC

It's Never Too Late to Ensure You Have Enough Super Money for Retirement

I have a friend named Gayle, who is over sixty years old. He is a business development manager. He is at a retirement age but still chooses to work during the weekdays like most of us. Saving for retirement has not always been a priority for him.

He's been a businessman for many years and was planning on having his business continue to look after him after he retired. But that didn't happen. That fell through. He has concerns that he will not have enough money when her retire and understand that he will have to work another five to ten years before he can afford to retire and live out the same life style.

So he opted for superannuation since he's been out of business and working for somebody else. The mortgage has been paid off and now he just wants to put on contributions for the next five to ten years that he has to work. He always thought of starting to plan for his retirement earlier. He told me once that if he had the time again, he would not have sold the real estate he have purchased over the years and made sure that each of those properties was fully paid off at this time of his life and always saved a bit for his retirement by putting money into super.

But he doesn't think it's ever too late to plan for his retirement as long as he can breathe and work, it's not too late.

If you are someone who is has reached the age of sixty and still planning for retirement, then I hope you can learn from my friend Gayle that it's never too late to plan for retirement. If you are someone younger, then realize that it is best to plan for retirement early while you still have lots of opportunities to do so.
